Reframing the Challenge

Initial Thought: "How do we make AI recommendations user-friendly?"

Reframed Challenge: "How do we make AI reasoning visible and trustworthy while solving the information chaos problem?"

This reframe came from the research insight that construction professionals don't want "black box" AI. They need to understand why the system made specific recommendations about subcontractors, scope items, or potential risks.

Ideation Constraints Applied

Based on initial research phase insights, I established three non-negotiable constraints:

1. Transparency First: Every AI decision must show its reasoning
2. Integration, Not Replacement: Must work within existing tool ecosystems
3. Field-Ready: Must function with poor connectivity and gloved hands
